Fillers: Hyaluronic acid and Radiesse

Resorbable injectable such as hyaluronic acid and hydroxyapatite have now proven their effectiveness and low risk of complication in the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, furrows and volume loss localized face.

This is an alternative to lipofilling and cervical-facial lifting. Recall that the facelift remains the reference technique and Softlift with hyaluronic acids injectables is an alternative for patients who are not candidates for or do not want a facelift and neck.

Learn more about hyaluronic acid dermal filler to treat wrinkles

Wrinkles are the most common sign of passing years. Unfortunately, there is no single treatment for wrinkles, as there are several kinds of wrinkles. That can be classified into 3 categories dynamic wrinkles, fine lines and furrows.

Dynamic Wrinkles

These expression wrinkles, the crow’s feet, forehead and lips part. These wrinkles are caused by the repetitive and constant muscles contraction. The skin on top of these muscles is closely contiguous, and therefore there is direct transmission of muscle movements to the skin. With time, the skin becomes less elastic (called dermal elastosis) and wrinkles become permanent. The choice of treatment is discussed during the consultation with the plastic surgeon depends on several factors. Wrinkles are permanent ? Are they deep ? How many areas need to be addressed?

And different techniques can be proposed: deep peels, laser skin resurfacing, Botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid dermal filler…

Furrows or Very Deep Wrinkles

Nasolabial folds (descending from each side of the nose to the corner of the mouth) and marionette lines (which descend on each side of the mouth to the chin) are the most important ones . It is due to loss of volume and descent of the skin of the cheek, mainly due to gravity, which abuts on a fixed perioral skin. Treatment depends on the depth of the furrow. The surgeon may propose the use of fillers. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler and lipofilling are in our opinion the best techniques.  These are alternatives to a facelift, which allows you to reposition the tissues.
